Associated Artists of Butler County will open “Art of Horror 6” Friday in the Underground Gallery at The Art Center, 344 S. Main St. Opening night will feature a costume gala and live music with Tiffany Apan, Oceans of Glass and Until the Daybreak. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with a $5 cover fee. The exhibit continues through Nov. 11. Entries for the “Strictly Functional” exhibit are due Oct. 15. Classes for children and adults are available. Hours are noon to 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays. Admission is free. Call 724-283-6922.

Maridon Museum, 322 N. McKean St., is open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and by appointment only Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for senior citizens and students, and free for children younger than 8; children must be accompanied by an adult. <B>Carnegie Museum of Art</B>, 4400 Forbes Ave., hosts “Palladio and His Legacy: A Transatlantic Journey,” featuring drawings by Andrea Palladio, one of the most influential architects in the Western world, through Dec. 31. Museum hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, with additional hours until 8 p.m. Thursdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. Admission is $15 for adults, $12 for senior citizens, $11 for students with ID and children age 3 to 18, and free for members and children younger than 3.
