CENTER TWP — The Tornado Big Band annual Christmas concert and dance benefit will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 16 at Crossfire, the First United Methodist Church campus at 1802 N. Main St. Ext.
The group is made up of Butler High School students under the direction of Jeff Kroner.
Dance lessons will be available from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Music will run from 7 to 9:30 p.m. with one intermission.
Admission will be by donation, as will be a coffee bar, cookies and appetizers. Proceeds will benefit First United Methodist Church youth.
PENN TWP — The Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania will host holiday storytime teas Saturday and Dec. 17 at the Succop Conservancy, Airport Road.Visitors can enjoy tea and tea sandwiches while listening to a holiday story. MIDDLESEX TWP — The Greater Cranberry Men's Chorus presents “Holiday Music You Love to Sing” at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, 1091 Pittsburgh Road.The program will feature the Bogmeister Chorus and some quartets.Monetary donations and canned goods will be accepted as admission. Proceeds benefit the Lighthouse Foundation.
GROVE CITY — Area musicians have organized a fundraising concert for the benefit of Children Home India, which provides care and education to needy children in Injambakkam, India.Musicians from Butler, Slippery Rock and Grove City will present a “Season of Hope” Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday at East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 East Main St.Grove City High School Show Choir will present selections at 7 p.m. in main foyer outside the sanctuary.No ticket purchase is necessary. CRANBERRY TWP — Tickets are on sale for the St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church-sponsored show “Late Nite Catechism 2: Sister Strikes Again!” The play will be at Oldenski Hall on March 24.There will be two shows: a matinee at 1:30 p.m. with tickets costing $32.50 and $37.50, and an evening show at 7:30 p.m. with tickets at $42.50 and $47.50.Tickets must be purchased in advance.
