ALMOST TOO CLOSE TO CALL
Guy Travaglio wipes his brow Nov. 2, 1965, after a correction in tabulation gave him the nod for the second Butler City Council seat. The correction boosted Travaglio from a narrow 12-vote lead, which could have been dissolved by the absentee ballots, to a 102-vote margin over Charles Chew. Democrats swept all city offices, but all county offices were filled by Republicans.
