SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock High School boys and girls basketball, wrestling, swimming and cheerleading teams will hold a meet and greet event at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the high schoolAdmission is one nonperishable food item to benefit the Feed My Sheep Food CupboardEvents will include a girls white versus red scrimmage, a boys white versus red scrimmage, cheer routines and crowd games.
EAST BRADY— The We Believe committee in East Brady will sponsor a two-day Christmas event that will showcase local crafters, specialty shops, churches and downtown merchants. The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Dec. 5 and 6.Participating businesses will be marked by large Santa flags outside buildings. Green "We Believe" brochures are available at many East Brady and surrounding area businesses.A Christmas parade also will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 6. Face painting, photos with Santa and refreshments will be available after the parade at the community center.

CANDLE will host an open house in recognition of its International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioner's Crime Prevention Program of the Year award received at a special event in Denver last month.The open house will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Monarch Place, 100Brugh Ave. There will be door prize drawings for volunteers.
