'39 Steps' to the Kean
GIBSONIA — The comedy “The 39 Steps” will be staged at 8 p.m. April 20 to 29 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road.
A mix of Hitchcock spy novel and classic Monty Python results in “The 39 Steps,” a whodunit for anyone who loves a Broadway farce.
This two-time Tony and Drama Desk award-winner is packed with more than 150 characters played by a cast of only four actors.
Richard Hannay is played by Stephan Lingenfelter of Butler. Annabella Schmidt, Pamela and Margaret are played by Kristen Scannell of Franklin Park. Collectively playing more than 100 roles as clowns number one and two are Gregory Caridi of Bloomfield and Jason Bernard of Pittsburgh.
Evening shows will begin at 8 p.m. April 20, 21, 27 and 28. Tickets are $23. Theater-goers also can enjoy dinner on-site; cost for dinner and the show is $45.
Sunday matinees will be staged at 2 p.m. April 22 and 29. Tickets are $21. An optional luncheon will begin at 12:30 p.m.; cost for lunch and the show is $43.
