GIBSONIA — St. Barnabas Hospice is seeking volunteers to make a difference in the lives of patients and their families.

Volunteer duties would including supporting families through friendly visits, light housekeeping and errands. Clerical help also is needed.

Free training will be provided.

Three American Red Cross baby-sitting classes are planned in Butler County.The one-day classes are set forMarch 21 at the Clinton Township Municipal Building, April 25 at the Buffalo Township Municipal Building and May 9 at the Butler Township Park building.Topics include leadership, safety, basic care, first aid and professionalism. MARS — The Mars Assembly 124 of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls will host a Flamingo Fandango Color Your World fundraising luncheon March 28 at the Mars Masonic Hall on Clay Avenue.The event will feature various flamingo lawn ornaments dressed in national costumes, a ventriloquist, favors and door prizes.Prepaid reservations are due by March 21 for lunch seatings at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Reservations can be made by calling M. Holland at 724-625-2597.Proceeds go toward attending Grand Assembly, the organization's statewide meeting held annually in Altoona.

ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Historical Society annual spring tea is set for 2 to 4 p.m. April 25 at Rock Lake Clubhouse.The event will feature entertainment by Jack and Nonie and a Chinese auction of baskets, traditional English tea cuisine and a selection of teas.Reservations are required before April 17.
