Unseam'd presents a different 'Tempest'

PITTSBURGH — Unseam’d Shakespeare Company will present “The Tempest, or The Enchanted Isle” opening today in the Studio Theatre at the Cathedral of Learning in Oakland.

Not Shakespeare’s classic play but a version originally adapted by John Dryden and William D’Avenant in 1667 and further adapted by Scott Palmer, “The Tempest, or The Enchanted Isle” features multiple characters, big effects and plenty of plot twists.

The show runs through June 29 at 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and at 4 p.m. Sundays, with shows at 4 and 8 p.m. June 29.

Talk backs with the cast and director will follow the performances this coming Sunday as well as June 26.

Tickets are $15 to $26 and available at www.unseamd.com or 888-718-4253.
