Red Brick Gallery opens photography exhibit

FOXBURG — The Red Brick Gallery Artist’s Cooperative presents artwork by Dennis Keyes and members of the New Castle Camera Club opening Friday and running through July 14 at the gallery at 17 Main St.

A reception with wine, cheese and hors d’oeuvres will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Guests at the AlleghenyRiverstone Center for the Arts Young People’s Performance Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, as well as the general public, are invited to the reception.

Area photographer and co-op member Dennis Keyes and members of the New Castle Camera Club combine in this new photography show and sale.

Keyes began shooting film in Vietnam in 1969. He made the switch to digital in 2000 and never turned back. His abilities in portrait, fashion, architectural and landscape photography emerged as he mastered the associated software. His work has appeared in various publications and has been celebrated in numerous exhibitions.

Other photographers exhibiting at the Red Brick Gallery are David Diffenderfer, Harriet Grossman, Karen Kriley, Michael Pagani Jr., Audrey Pollock and Brian Reiser.

The New Castle Camera Club was formed in 1972 by a local group of photographers whose purpose was to display and discuss their images, the techniques, composition and impact.

The gallery is open from 4 to 8 p.m. Fridays, noon to 8 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays.
