Young musicians give concert at Lincoln Hall

FOXBURG — Young musicians will perform at 3 p.m. Sunday in Lincoln Hall, 42 S. Palmer St.

Allegheny Riverstone Center for the Arts presents several young pianists who have been mentored in master classes by Dennis Geib of Franklin.

The three pianists are Jona Brown, a 16-year-old sophomore attending Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter High School in Midland, Beaver County; Nick Nasibyan, an Erie native who is a freshman at Mercyhurst College; and Kevin O’Brien, a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs who was selected to go to their Northwest District fall concert in 2009.

Geib also will play several pieces to round out the concert. He has performed on television, radio and at universities across the United States.

He is a principal pianist and organist at an area church.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and can be reserved by calling 412-867-1816.

The audience after the concert is invited to an opening reception at the Red Brick Gallery for a photography show by Dennis Keyes and the New Castle Camera Club. The reception will run from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
