Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, has a First Day Hike at 1 p.m. Wednesday, starting from the prairie trails parking lot. The 2-mile hike will be of moderate difficulty. The program is free and registration is not required. Jennings is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. Moraine State Park also will be the site of a First Day Hike beginning at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday from McDanel’s Launch on North Shore. Members of the Butler Outdoor Club will conduct the 2- to 3-mile hike over moderate terrain on the North Country Trail. Call 724-368-8811.
