SRU student work showing at art center

This sculpture by Caitlyn Sweetland is part of the SRU student art show at the Butler Art Center.

“Tantamount,” an exhibit of artwork by Slippery Rock University students, will have a reception Thursday at the Butler Art Center.

The reception will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday. The exhibit continues through Saturday.

The artwork represents “Realities Through the Eyes of Artists.”

SRU students participating in the exhibit are Allyson Schultz, Araycia Byers, Caitlyn Sweetland, Cassidy Bandzuch, Christine Murcko, Destiny Blackwell, Jessica Giuliano, Rachel Mistretta and Rachel Peterson.

Butler Art Center at 344 S. Main St. is open from 10 to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
