Cruises aboard Nautical Nature, an enclosed pontoon boat, include a narrated 90-minute tour of Lake Arthur, as sponsored by the Moraine Preservation Fund. Cruises begin at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets for adults are $11 online and $12 at the gate, for senior citizens, $9 and $10, and for children, $5 and $6. Children under 2 are free. Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, will have a film commemorating the forgotten and extinct birds of North America Sept. 8. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, Frazer Township, near Russellton. A cooking program, “A Taste of History: Dutch Oven Cooking,” will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 14. The program will allow visitors to sample Native American and pioneer food.
