• The Pittsburgh Philharmonic Mini-Series continues with a holiday concert, featuring highlights from “The Nutcracker” in addition to traditional favorites, at 8 p.m. Dec. 12. Tickets are $15.

• The Westminster College Planetarium will host two shows: “Mystery of the Christmas Star” at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. Saturday and at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13; and “Let it Snow” at 5 and 8 p.m. Saturday and at 8 p.m. Dec. 13.The programs are free, but reservations are necessary due to limited seating. • Trio Nova Mundi will present a concert at 8 p.m. today in the Arnold Recital Hall of the Pew Fine Arts Center.Admission is free but seating is limited so tickets are required. For tickets, visit www.alumni.gcc.edu/nova_14.• The department of communication and visual arts will present the biannual student art exhibition Friday through Wednesday in the Pew Fine Arts Gallery.Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. An artists’ reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today. Admission is free.
