Star parties sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh are scheduled to begin, weather permitting, at about 8:55 p.m. June 19 and 20 at the Nicholas E. McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, off Route 422, opens the historic gristmill 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Interpretive tours are available at 1 and 3 p.m. most days. Additional tours for groups may be scheduled by calling 724 368-3612.
