Jennings Environmental Education Center, Route 528, Brady Township, is open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and on weekends as scheduled. The trails are open daily from sunrise to sunset. Call 724-794-6011.

Star parties sponsored by the Amateur Astronomers Association of Pittsburgh are scheduled to begin, weather permitting, at about 8:55 p.m. June 19 and 20 at the Nicholas E. Wagman Observatory in Deer Lakes Regional Park, near Russellton. Admission is free. Donations are accepted to help cover the costs of operation. Call 724-224-2510 or visit wp.3ap.org.

McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County, off Route 422, opens the historic gristmill 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. Interpretive tours are available at 1 and 3 p.m. most days. Additional tours for groups may be scheduled by calling 724 368-3612.
