SAXONBURG — The second annual Saxonburg Carol Sing starts at 6 p.m. Friday.

The musical program outside Saxonburg Library, 240 W. Main St., will feature the Knoch High School Chamber Chorus, the Knoch Beauty Shop Quartet, the Greater Cranberry Barbershop Chorus and the Butler Tabernacle Singers.

Other activities include free horse-drawn carriage rides, tea with Mrs. Claus at the Fresh Cup café and a visit from Santa. Tea with Mrs. Claus requires registration at 724-352-8181.

The AABC will host its annual fashion show to benefit The Art Center, 344 S. Main St., at 8 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at 7 p.m.The show will feature three local designers and more than 40 models. Most designs will be for sale along with jewelry, purses, artwork and more.The reception includes a cash bar, appetizers, a Chinese auction, vendor booths and musical entertainment.Tickets can be purchased at The Art Center by calling 724-283-6922.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Butler County Symphony Association will hold the 31st annual Young Artist Competition on Jan. 17 at Slippery Rock University,The competition is open to any high school musician within a 25-mile radius of Butler or any high school musician in a PMEA District 5 school.
