Practicing harp at home is challenging enough because of the physical demands of the instrument, but Dana Schneider of Harmony said taking her concert grand pedal harp to performances can be quite cumbersome.

Because harps weigh 75 to 100 pounds, harpists use a specialized two-wheel cart to wheel their harps around, and when they are traveling, they need a large enough vehicle for the harp.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>

And all along, the harp must be covered, cushioned and insulated from extreme heat or cold.
