RENFREW — The Butler County Humane Society, 1015 Evans City Road, will host a yard sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 1 and 2.

A rabies and microchip clinic will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. May 1 at the society. Dogs must be under control on a leash and cats must be in carriers.

MARS — Opus I Music Society of Mars and Cranberry will hold its annual scholarship award and student recital at 2 p.m. May 16 at Mars Alliance Church, 997 State Route 228.There also will be recognition of outstanding high school musicians from the Mars, Seneca Valley and Pine-Richland school districts. A reception will follow the recital. This event is free and open to the public.

CHICORA — The Chicora Moose, 117 W. Slippery Rock St., will hold a fundraising event at 7 p.m. May 8 to continue their renovation of the veterans honor roll on Main Street in Butler.The event will feature country music performances, refreshments and a 50/50 drawing.For tickets, call 724-445-2957, 724-445-2343 or 724-445-3534. Tickets will be available at the door.

ADAMS TWP — The Reality Tour drug awareness program will be held at 6 p.m. May 13 at the Adams Township Municipal Building, 170 Hutchman Road, for youth ages 10 and up accompanied by a parent.Registration is required by May 10. LYNDORA — Butlerpex, the Butler County Philatelic Society's annual stamp exhibition and bourse, will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 7 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 8 at the Tanglewood Center, 10 Austin Ave.The show will have a cachet envelope and cancel recognizing VA Butler Healthcare. The bourse will have 13 dealers, a post office, table auction, children's area and snack bar.

SARVER — The Herbal Thymes Club's 20th anniversary plant sale and herb fest will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 8 in Heide Hall at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 409 Sarver Road. The free indoor event will include common and unique herbs along with vegetable plants and flowers. There also will be homemade herbal bread, herbal mixes, baskets raffle, cooking demonstrations, refreshments, and used garden books and magazines.For information, visit www.herbalthymesclub.org.

The 14th Annual Outdoor Extravaganza will be held from May 28 to 31 near McConnells Mill and Moraine State Parks.
