ZELIENOPLE — The sixth annual Grandparents Walk/Run will be held Sept. 18 at Passavant Retirement Community.

Registration opens at 6:30 a.m. at Newhaven Court. The 10-mile run begins at 7:30 a.m., the 5K begins at 9:30 a.m., and the 1-mile walk and run begins at 10 a.m.

The $20 registration fee benefits Passavant Retirement Community's Benevolent Care Fund. For information or to register, call 724-453-6013.

EVANS CITY — St. Johns United Church of Christ, 501 E. Main St., will hold its annual fall rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sept. 16 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 17 and 18.On sale will be electronics, books, furniture, bicycles, tools and more. St. Johns will not sell clothing.Patrons also are invited to visit St. John's booth in downtown Evans City on Saturday during the Oktoberfest celebration.

FREEPORT — The Freeport Renaissance Association will host an Anything that Floats race at 3 p.m. Sept. 19 during the September by the River Festival.Registration will start at 2:30 p.m. for teams of two to five people. PORTERSVILLE — Portersville Christian School, 343 East Portersville Road, will host a family fall festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 25.Activities include games, a petting zoo, homemade food and crafts, and a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit the PCS Parent Faculty Association and the junior and senior classes.
