SAXONBURG — The Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company will host a Halloween parade at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Lineup begins at 5:30 p.m. at White Church on Main Street.

The Tanglewood Center will sponsor a bus trip Nov. 3 to the Wheeling Island Casino. The bus departs at 9:30 a.m. and returns about 7:30 p.m. A $15 deposit is due at sign up and the balance is due by Oct. 30 for the $26 trip. For information, call 724-287-0021.

FORD CITY — The Armstrong School District will conduct the General Educational Development 2002 test from 6 to 10 p.m. Nov. 9 and 10 at the Ford City High School library, Fourth Avenue and 11th Street. GIBSONIA — Shades of Freedom, St. Barnabas Charities' fashion gala and luncheon, will be held Saturday at the Washington Place and the Kean Theatre, 5487 Meridian Road. The Associated Artists of Butler County will host a Meet the Artists and Sunnyview Project Celebration from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday at the Art Center, 344 S. Main Street.The black tie optional, catered event features fine food, music and art with a cash wine bar and performances by classical guitarist Troy Downing and the Trinity Sextet Jazz Band.The finalists of the Sunnyview art competition will be announced and attendees will preview the Butler County Art and Artists exhibit.
