COUNTYThe Old Stone House will host “Homebrewed History: Beer and Medieval Europe” at 2 p.m. Saturday; tickets are $25, available by calling 724-738-4964 or visiting www.stonehouseCPH.org. All ticket holders must be 21 or older. Also, an exhibition called “Here & There,” exploring batik craftsmanship and techniques used to create the designs on cloth, is planned for 2 to 4 p.m. April 9 and 16; exhibit admission is free. School-aged children can try basic batik activities both days. School teachers and art camp directors can register their students ahead of time to ensure sufficient materials for projects. Music and art of the tropical forest will be featured. This event is free with admission of $15 for adults. The fair features more than 1,200 students in grades six through 12. First place winning projects will be on display in the science center’s main lobby through April 10.
