ZELIENOPLE — The Artisan Marketplace, 134B S. Main St., operates as a mission of the Presbyterian Women of Beaver-Butler Presbytery.The shop has international fair trade gifts for Christmas, such as angels, ornaments, jewelry, kitchen and decorative household items and chocolate.The shop is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 17 through Dec. 22 and from 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 24.The shop helps small-scale artisans and farmers support their families.For directions, visit http://beaverbutler.org.
CRANBERRY TWP — St. Ferdinand Church is hosting a New Year's Eve Party from at 7:15 p.m. Dec. 31 to 12:30 a.m. Jan. 1 at the Marriott on Route 228.The cost of tickets increases after Dec. 21 and includes an hour of hors d'oeuvres, two drink tickets, a three course sit-down dinner, discounted drinks and a New Year's champagne toast.Participants must be age 18 or older, and reserved seating is available.Tickets are available during business hours at the St. Ferdinand Education Building, or by calling Bonnie at 724-776-9177, Ext. 313, or Nancy at 724-779-3986.
