SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Student Council will sponsor a Barnes & Noble book fair in the high school library Thursday through Saturday.

The book fair will be open at 6 p.m. before the performance of “Once Upon a Mattress,” during intermission and again after the performance. All proceeds will benefit the high school.

FAIRVIEW TWP — Gently used formal wear, prom dresses, evening gowns, shoes and accessories will be for sale from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 24 at the Fairview Township Municipal Building, 1571 Hooker Road.The “Redazzled” event's proceeds will benefit the Petroleum Valley Youth Center.For more information, call Anita at 724-756-4028.

First Baptist Christian School, 221 W. CRANBERRY TWP — “Look Good … Feel Better,” a program designed to help women overcome the appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment, will hold a session from 10 a.m. to noon March 25 in Dr. Malay's office at UPMC Passavant Cranberry, 1 St. Francis Way.Classes are taught by licensed beauty professionals and are open to all women undergoing cancer treatment.Classes are free, but registration is required by calling 800-227-2345.
