The Oakview Ladies Golf League had its 14th breast cancer tournament on Aug. 1 at the Oakview Golf Club, raising $16,000.

This year’s event was chaired by Shirley Vernon and Debbie Delano.

In attendance were the Oakview Ladies Breast Cancer Tournament Survivors.

The proceeds will be donated to the Women’s Imaging Center at Butler Memorial Hospital.

“Breast cancer affects so many people in the community,” Vernon said. “Everybody knows somebody with breast cancer.”

Over the last 14 years, the tournament has brought in more than $100,000 for the hospital.
