The Early Years Child Care Center on Route 68 collected more than 400 pounds of food at its third annual Thanksgiving Festival.

The event helps teach the spirit of giving and raises awareness for families who benefit from the food pantry at The Lighthouse Foundation, according to Cindy Cipoletti of the Lighthouse Foundation.

Children at the center participated in a variety of pilgrim and Native American reenactments including shucking corn, churning butter and building a life-size tepee.
