The Butler County Bears semi-pro football team hosts an exhibition game at 7 p.m. Saturday at Butler's Memorial Park.

Admission is free for the game against the Erie Express. The Bears, 8-4 last season, begin regular season play May 31.

CRANBERRY TWP — Cranberry Township resident and Vincentian Academy senior Brad Martin reached the WPIAL Class AA boys tennis tournament last month.Martin was seeded fourth in the Section 3 tournament, won the first round 10-1, then rallied from a 6-1 deficit to win the second round, 10-7. He lost to the No. 1 seed in the semifinals before defeating the No. 3 seed, 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, to finish third and move on to the district event.It was there that Martin won his first match before falling in the quarterfinals to eventual WPIAL champ, Luke Ross of Sewickley Academy.
