Pomona gives service honors

Butler Pomona Grange 17 honored two of its members with Community Service Awards, James Kennedy and Tim Shaffer.

Kennedy is western regional director for the state Department of Agriculture, a former Butler County commissioner, a dairy cattle judge and a member of the Penn Glade Lions Club.

Shaffer is a district judge, former Butler County solicitor, former state senator and on the board of ARC Butler County.
