SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University track and field standouts David Reinhardt and Sabrina Anderson have been named Capital One Academic All-America.

Reinhardt earned his second straight first team honor. A junior thrower, he won the NCAA Division II title in the javelin last year and finished this season with the third best hammer throw in the nation. He carries a 3.74 grade point average in SRU's physical therapy program.

Anderson made second team All-Academic, owning a 4.0 GPA in the physical therapy program. She won the PSAC title in the indoor pentathlon, breaking the school record with 3,584 points. She earned all region in the high jump and heptathlon during the outdoor season.

PITTSBURGH — The U.S. women’s soccer national team will play its first post-Women’s World Cup match Aug. 16 at Heinz Field.The Americans will play Costa Rica at 1:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public Wednesday.This will mark the U.S. women’s national team’s second-ever appearance at Heinz Field. The first was a 3-0 win over Iceland in 2004.
