'One of Us' pop singer plays Strand
ZELIENOPLE — The ’90s pop musician Joan Osborne will play an acoustic duo concert with keyboardist/vocalist Keith Cotton at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 19 at the Strand Theater, 119 N. Main St.
Osborne may be best known for her single, “(What If God Was) One of Us” from her debut album, “Relish.” Released in 1995, it sold more than five million copies and garnered seven Grammy nominations.
The show is designed to feel like audience members are hanging out in her living room, according to Ron Carter, president and executive director of the nonprofit group that operates the theater.
Unique to this concert is a meet-and-greet with the artist immediately following the performance.
The Red Cross has arranged for a heated tent to be installed directly behind the Strand on the lawn. In addition to being able to shake hands and talk briefly with Osborne, fans can enjoy refreshments.
Reserve seating is $45. Tickets are available by calling 724-742-0400 or at www.thestrandtheater.org.
From every ticket sold, $15 will be donated to the American Red Cross in Butler County.
