A Friday afternoon fire destroyed a shed behind a mobile home in Center Township.

Volunteer fire fighters found the shed fully involved and the rear porch of the mobile home beginning to catch fire when they arrived, said Unionville Volunteer Fire Company Chief Nathan Wulff. The fire was reported at 1:40 p.m.

“We were able to contain it to the shed. The porch started to catch, but we got it in time,” Wulff said.

The Prospect and Butler Township volunteer fire departments also responded. No injuries were reported.
