PITTSBURGH — Officials at Point Park University have dropped their legal challenge over whether faculty members can unionize under the National Labor Relations Act.

After 11 years of litigation through the National Labor Relations Board and the U.S. Court of Appeals, a release from the university on Monday says the administration did not wish to spend additional resources on a lengthy legal battle.

The release said the university will “begin collective bargaining accordingly.”
