County students take stage in 'Musketeers'

Appearing in Lincoln Park's “The Three Musketeers” are Butler County students, from left, front, Kyli Burton who is in the ensemble and plays Adele; and back row, Tessa DeJeet as Constance Bonacieux, Laila Tyler as d'Artangan's mother, and Zach Aaron as Debris.

A high-flying, swashbuckling live production of Alexandre Dumas’ classic “The Three Musketeers” will feature four Butler County students.

Bringing this tale to life is a 25-member cast that features talent from across the region, including four Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School students from Butler County: senior Laila Tyler of Butler and junior Tessa DeJeet, sophomore Kyli Burton and freshman Zach Aaron, all of Cranberry Township.

Kyli is in the ensemble and plays Adele, Tessa plays Constance Bonacieux, Laila is d’Artangan’s mother, and Zach plays Debris.

Dumas began his prodigious career as a novelist with “The Three Musketeers” in 1844, followed by a number of other adventure novels.

Playwright Kevin Ludwig wrote this stage adaptation in 2006, making sure it resonated with modern audiences.

The show runs Friday through March 10 at Lincoln Park in Midland, Beaver County.

Tickets are available online at www.lincolnparkarts.org/events, or by calling the Lincoln Park box office at 724-576-4644.
