UPMC and UPMC Health Plan have been named a “Best Place to Work” for those with disabilities by Disability Equality Index.

Disability Equality Index is a national survey administered jointly by the American Association of People with Disabilities.

UPMC announced it also has been named one of the nation’s “Digital Health Most Wired” health systems by the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, making UPMC one of only 26 organizations in the country to achieve Level 10 status — the highest recognition.

Almost 48,000 facilities were evaluated, and UPMC set itself apart in categories such as analytics and data management, population health, infrastructure and patient engagement, according the a news release.
