MARS — Used books will be for sale at the Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave., from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Feb. 26, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 27 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 28.

Toastmasters host open house

CRANBERRY TWP — Cranberry Area Toastmasters provides a supportive, positive environment for members to develop communication and leadership skills.

The club will host an open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. March 3 at the Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road.

Guests may meet local members and take the first step to learn more about confident communication skills.

Guests also are welcome for Cranberry Area Toastmasters’ meetings on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the library.

Brunch, spring fashion show set

FREEPORT — The 12th Annual Brunch and Boutique of the Freeport College Club will celebrate Paris in the Springtime from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 22 at Tables on the Green at the Brackenridge Golf Course, 1299 Lane Ave., Natrona Heights.

The event will include a fashion show and trunk sale with Fashions by Nellie’s on Ford and Eye Kandy Boutique. The models will be from the Freeport College Club, Nellie’s and Eye Kandy.

There also will be a silent auction, basket raffle and 50-50 raffle.

The celebration benefits the Freeport School District Scholarship Fund and the Freeport Public Library.

Kindergarten registration set

PROSPECT — Kindergarten registration for the 2015-16 school year in the Slippery Rock School District will be in March.
