Rummage, cookie sale scheduledSt. Anthony’s Orthodox Church at the corner of Sixth and Pillow streets will have a rummage and cookie sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Summit Church sets ‘Trunk’ eventSummit Church’s third annual “Trunk or Treat” will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at the CCO Building of HIS Kids Christian School, 650 Saxonburg Road.There will be crafts, games, food and “trunk or treating.” The event is for children in fifth grade and younger accompanied by an adult. Hot dogs, chips and drinks will be provided.Costumes are permitted, but very scary, bloody and gory masks and costumes are discouraged.Registration for children and families is preferred but not required. Kitty Halloween party plannedEVANS CITY — The Evans City Public Library will host Little Black Kitty’s Halloween celebration from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.During the event, the library will collect cat food, toys, treats and more to benefit the Butler County Humane Society. One auction basket will have Penguins tickets.

Church hosts fall festivalChrist Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, will have its community fall festival from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday.The festival includes “trunk or treat,” candy apples, hot cider, pumpkin painting, a fun house and Kan Jam. Costumes are encouraged. Prizes will be given.

Pet Fest with rabies clinic slatedThe Butler County Humane Society will host Fall in Love with a Pet Fest on Saturday.Pet photographs are available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. A rabies and microchip clinic will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. From 1 to 5 p.m., DJ Joe will provide music.An auction, bake sale and adoption specials run all day.For details, call 724-789-1150 or visit www.butlercountyhs.org.

Luncheon will benefit charitiesSAXONBURG — GWFC Saxonburg Woman’s Club will host its annual fall tea luncheon from 1 to 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Main St., Saxonburg.The event includes a Chinese auction and entertainment and benefits local projects and charities.The deadline for reservations is Nov. 2.
