Humane society fundraiser slated

HARMONY — The 4th annual “Have A Heart for Animals” Valentine’s party and fundraiser for the Butler County Humane Society will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Bottlebrush Gallery and Center for the Arts, 539 Main St.

There will be a silent auction, Chinese auction, gift baskets, doggy kissing booth, scavenger hunt and music by James and Debbie Tobin.

There is no charge for admission, but food, pet toys and cash donations will be accepted.

Concordia hosts ventriloquist

JEFFERSON TWP — Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host “Sweets O Rama,” a dessert buffet with comedy entertainment by Ryan Bomgardner at 1 p.m. Friday in the Haven I Dining Room, 112 Marwood Road, Entrance 2A, Cabot.

The desserts will be donated by Concordia residents and staff and the community.

Christian ventriloquist Bomgardner has a regional television show “Ryan and Friends,” is a comedy columnist and performs 140 shows each year throughout North America.

The event is free. Registration is preferred but not required.

Township offers art classes

CRANBERRY TWP — Weekly art classes in Cranberry Township’s Youth Program will begin for young aspiring artists Feb. 14 at the township building, 2525 Rochester Road.

Children in grades 1 to 3 will explore color, composition and design using a variety of materials. Children in grades four to six will learn the elements of art and apply the styles of famous artists to their own creations.

Each class will meet six times for 75 minutes.
