The Farmers National Bank
Since 1900, The Farmers National Bank of Emlenton has been committed to the communities it serves.
In addition to providing competitive products and specialized financial services, the bank participates in civic organizations and supports a multitude of charitable causes.
The bank’s prolonged success can be attributed to professional hands-on customer service, highly-trained personnel and local decision making.
The bank opened its 15th banking office in Cranberry Township in May of 2014. The new office is managed and staffed by five employees and is the bank’s fourth office in Butler County.
The completion of the Cranberry Township office was preceded by the opening of the office in St. Marys, Elk County, in late 2013. This natural expansion is a direct reflection of the bank’s profitable growth strategy.
During 2014, the bank worked to improve the overall customer experience. Numerous technological upgrades were realized including enhanced online Bill Pay, user-friendly eStatements and an upgraded bank-wide phone system.
In December, the bank launched its mobile banking app for smartphone users. These advances support the bank’s mission of providing quality services while remaining a community oriented bank.
In July, Farmers expanded its mortgage options by joining the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh’s First Front Door program. This offers financial assistance, through grants, to first-time homebuyers.
In 2014, the bank donated $115,000 to school districts and educational organizations through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit program. Since 2001, Farmers has donated about $1.3 million to educational institutions.
Actively participating in the community and the banking industry is a standard that the bank has set forth for all employees.
The Pennsylvania Bankers Association appointed the bank’s Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, William C. Marsh, as chairman of the board for this statewide organization for the association’s 2014-15 fiscal year. Additionally, Jennifer Roxbury, senior vice president and chief executive officer of the bank, was named vice chair of the PBA Group 8.
The bank is an independent, nationally chartered, FDIC-insured community commercial bank headquartered in Emlenton, Venango County, with offices in Venango, Butler, Clarion, Clearfield, Crawford, Elk, Jefferson, and Mercer counties. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Emclaire Financial Corp.
