Circle of Friends Choir to perform

The Circle of Friends Choir will give two concerts this weekend.

• 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dutilh United Methodist Church, 1270 Dutilh Road, Cranberry Township; proceeds will benefit Nyadire Connection

• 7 p.m. Saturday, First Methodist Church, 416 Crescent Ave., Ellwood City; proceeds will benefit Beds For Little Heads/Food Bank.

Mother-daughter program planned

CHICORA — The Chicora Alliance Church, 310 E. Slippery Rock St., will feature a special program for mothers, daughters and friends at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Shelli Prindle, the founder of Hope and Passion Ministries in Irwin, will discuss “God our Nurturer.”

Holy Hours for May scheduled

The Holy Hour for Peace will begin at 7 p.m. Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St.

There will be prayers for peace, vocations, Novena Prayers to Our Lady of Perpetual Help, rosary and benediction.

The Divine Mercy Holy Hour will begin at 7 p.m. May 19 at St. Paul.

There will be prayers for family healing, Divine Mercy Chaplet and benediction.

Tommy Brandt to give free concert

Award-winning inspirational country music star Tommy Brandt will give a free concert at 7 p.m. May 17 at the First United Methodist Church’s Crossfire Campus, 1802 N. Main St. Ext.

Brandt has become one of the most recognized inspirational country music singers and shared the stage with many country artists such as Keith Urban, Daryl Worley and Little Big Town.

Free child care is available during the concert.

St. Paul hosts concert series

The third annual “Faith in Music” concert series will be at 4 p.m. May 17 at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St.

The Ecumenical Choir, representing 10 churches, will perform John Rutter’s “Gloria” accompanied by a brass ensemble and piano.

Also featured will be organists Signe Mitchell and George Armstrong.

A freewill offering will be taken. There will be a reception in the church social hall following the concert.
