Strawberry festival planned in Mars

MARS — Old Union Presbyterian Church, 200 Union Church Road, will have a strawberry festival from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday.

Complete meals, including desserts made with freshly picked local strawberries, will be available a la carte and for takeout.

Children’s activity scheduled for park

BUTLER TWP — Penn State Extension, in cooperation with Carlberg Forestry, will have a children’s scavenger hunt for ages 7 to 12 from 10 a.m. to noon June 20 at Preston Park, 415 S. Eberhart Road. Families are welcome.

Participants should wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt and closed-toed shoes for this activity.
