Genealogy class slated at libraryZELIENOPLE — Susan Ennis, school librarian and genealogical enthusiast, will lead a series of four free genealogy workshops again this year at the Zelienople Public Library, 227 S. High St.All levels of family researchers are welcome for this collaborative experience. Topics will include ancestry.com, searching tips, new resources and preserving stories.The first session will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Other scheduled dates are March 8, March 22 and April 5.

Nixon Preschool plans open houseNixon Preschool will have an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 28 at Nixon United Methodist Church, 334 Airport Road. Teachers will be available for tours and to answer questions.Registration is under way for fall classes. Classes are available for a two-mornings-a-week program for 3-year-olds and a three-mornings-a-week program for 4- and 5-year-olds.For more information, or to arrange an individual tour, call 724-586-7372.
