Man pleads guilty in accidental shooting
PITTSBURGH — A Ford City man accused of leaving a loaded pistol on his kitchen counter, leading his 9-year-old son to accidently shoot and injure his 6-year-old half brother, has pleaded guilty.
Christopher McNeely, 30, entered the plea Thursday to a charge of recklessly endangering another person. He man will likely serve probation in the case.
Prosecutors say McNeely left two guns on his kitchen counter last summer before going to bed. Authorities say McNeely’s 9-year-old son found the guns and shot his 6-year-old half brother. The boy survived with serious damage to his left arm.
