PITTSBURGH — FedEx is promising to donate $5 million to help expand the Carnegie Science Center.

The science center said Wednesday the gift is part of a campaign launched two years ago to more than double the center’s educational space and expand its science, technology, engineering, and math programming.

Officials with the Memphis, Tenn.-based shipping company say they’ve always supported the science center in Pittsburgh.
