Woman taken to hospital after reported screwdriver stabbing
BUTLER — A woman was transported by ambulance following an emergency call reporting someone was stabbed with a screwdriver Tuesday afternoon.
Around 1:20 p.m., a transmission over emergency radio dispatch said a woman was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver at 208 W. Wayne Street.
A woman at the scene was observed sitting upright on a porch at the location while paramedics treated her.
Paramedics wrapped the woman’s head in white bandages, and then placed a collar on her neck before placing her on a stretcher and putting her into an ambulance.
The woman appeared conscious at the time of her treatment. A 911 center dispatcher confirmed a helicopter had been called in for transport.
Initial calls over radio dispatch said a suspect fled the scene on foot.
Butler City Police investigated the scene.
A man left the home with officers around 1:50 p.m. after being frisked and led to a police cruiser.
