Nutmeg is similar in chemical make up to MDMA or the drug Ecstasy. About 4% of the chemical make up is myristicin, which blocks the release of serotonin from brain neurones. Myristicin poisoning can induce convulsions, palpitations, nausea, eventual dehydration, and generalized body pain
Nutmeg, a common spice found in many homes, can be used for hallucinogenic properties.It can be made into a paste and eaten usually followed with alcohol. A high occurs when the paste is thrown up.
