ADAMS TWP — A township resident in his 60s Tuesday was taken to Allegheny General Hospital after crashing his motorcycle.

The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. on Adams Ridge Boulevard near the intersection with Route 228.

The driver, who police did not identify, had just turned onto the road from Route 228 when he laid down his Honda motorcycle, said officer Jim Davis of the township police.

He was not wearing a helmet and hit his head on the pavement. Quality EMS took him to Pittsburgh.

Police are investigating, though he will likely not receive any ticket, Davis said.

There were minor delays on the road for about 30 minutes while the debris was cleared and the motorcycle was towed.

The Evans City-Seven Fields Regional Police and Adams Area Fire District also assisted at the scene.
