Jeane McCormack Heath
Jeane McCormack Heath, 91, of Altadena, Calif., formerly of Butler, passed away Aug. 18 at the Pacifica Senior Living in Santa Clarita, Calif.
She was born on April 20, 1923, in Tarentum to the late George McCormack and Ada Turnbull McCormack.
Mrs. Heath was a 1940 graduate of Tarentum High School.
She worked as an executive secretary for Allegheny Ludlum and the T.W. Phillips Gas and Oil Co. She retired from T.W. Phillips in 1998.
Mrs. Heath was a member of the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was active in the choir for many years. She enjoyed singing, theater and opera music.
Mrs. Heath is survived by her son, Laurence William Heath of Boynton Beach, Fla.; her daughter, Candace (Heath) Colliflower of Altadena; her two grandchildren, Dylan Colliflower and Jenna Colliflower; her sister, Ruth McCormack Gardecki of California, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Heath, who she married on June 20, 1949, and who passed away on March 3, 2005; her sister, Ada Williams; and her four brothers, Ralph, George, James and John McCormack.
Heath — A memorial service for Jeane McCormack Heath, who died Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with Pastor Alex Raducz of Bible Baptist Church, Horseheads, N.Y., officiating.
