Brian Traister

Brian L. “Bezer” Traister, 49, of Templeton passed away Thursday at ACMH Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1965, in Butler, the son of Laird and Judy McLaughlin Traister of Rimersburg.

Bezer grew up in Rimersburg and moved to Templeton after marrying Connie Hornberger on June 11, 1988.

For more than 26 years, he worked for the Rosebud Mining Co., most recently holding the position of assistant mine foreman.

Bezer was a Protestant and was known for being a hard worker.

He loved being outside and each year looked forward to mowing his grass, starting each spring as the first of his neighbors out on the mower. Above all, Bezer cherished the time spent with his family, especially his children. His greatest legacy was being a loving and caring husband and father.

His memory will be cherished by his parents, Laird and Judy Traister of Rimersburg; his loving wife of 26 years, Connie “Binky” Hornberger Traister; his daughters, Kira Traister and Kaylee Traister, both at home; his brother, James Thomas “Tom” Traister and his wife, Tracy, of Rimersburg; his sisters, Karla Kriebel and her husband, Jeffery, Michelle “Shelly” Myers and her husband, Rick, and Megan Reed and her husband, Brian, all of Rimersburg; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his parents-in-law, Thomas and Shirley Hornberger of Templeton.

Bezer was preceded in death by his son, Cole Allen Traister, who died on Feb. 5, 2015; his paternal grandparents, James Thomas and Zella Traister; and his maternal grandparents, William Dail “Barney” and Geraldine McLaughlin.

Traister — Relatives and friends of Brian L. “Bezer” Traister, who passed away Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at theBauer-Hillis Funeral Home, 758 Main St., Rimersburg.Additional visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral services at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg.Contributions can be made in Bezer's honor to the Richard G.
