Evelyn Elizabeth (Creese) Kline, 84, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born on June 30, 1940, to the late John W. Creese and Eva E. (Dambach) Creese.

Evelyn graduated from Mars High School and attended beauty school. She enjoyed flowers and baking and was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Evelyn loved playing cards and, above all, cherished spending time with her family.

Evelyn is survived by one son, Robert B. (Channing) Kline Jr.; four daughters, Sandra (Jerry) Markle, Sheryl Buffington, Stacey (Donn) Burk and Susan (John) Stutz; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; one sister, Joan Bickish; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. “Bob” Kline Sr., whom she married June 24, 1961, and who passed away on April 19, 2015; two brothers, Ken and John Creese; two sisters, Mae Stepp and Betty Schuller; and one son-in-law, Dennis Buffington.

KLINE — Friends and family of Evelyn Elizabeth (Creese) Kline, who died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2024, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler, with Pastor Dawn Lynn Check officiating.

A private burial will take place in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Duffy Road, Butler, PA 16001.
