EMLENTON — Farmers National Bank of Emlenton announced that Brittany Basham has been promoted to assistant vice president, manager of human resources.
She has more than four years of experience managing human resource needs and has professional credentials in human resources from the Human Resource Certification Institute.
As the manager of human resources at the bank since late 2013, she has made an impact overseeing all aspects of human resources.
Basham lives in Butler.
Joe Genco is a new reporter for the Butler Eagle.He works in the newspaper's Cranberry Township office and covers news in southwestern Butler County.Genco, 23, was the editor of the Skaneateles Press in Skaneateles, N.Y., which is outside of Syracuse.He is a 2012 graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in newspaper and online journalism.
More than $25,000 in free dental care was given out May 3 at the Dentistry From The Heart event sponsored by Dr. Paul Keelan.Keelan along with Dr. Jeff Miller, Dr. Mark Wrigley and 46 volunteers teamed up to do 102 dental procedures on 76 patients.The event, which was part of a national effort, was at Keelan Dental, 1022A N. Main St., in the Avada Building.
MARS — Robert Addoms has joined Mars National Bank as vice president, commercial banking.He has more than 27 years of experience in the industry.Addoms is a graduate of Clarion University where he received his BS in Business Administration. He is active in a variety of professional and civic organizations and lives in Moon Township.
PINE TWP, Allegheny County — With the creation of Philly steak sliders and blue cheese slaw, the culinary staff of Golden Hill Nursing & Rehab in New Castle on April 23 won the 2014 Quality Life Services Spring Cook-Off at The Chadwick in Wexford.Residents and staff from Butler-based Quality Life's nine long-term care communities in Western Pennsylvania competed for the top honor. They were joined by more than 200 guests, many of whom dressed in attire inspired by the event's 1950s diner theme.Business sponsorships also raised more than $14,000 for Don't Stop Dreamin', which is Quality Life's nonprofit organization that provides wish-type opportunities for residents of its long-term care communities.
A Harmony company has an officer for the Association for Iron & Steel Technology for 2014-2015.First vice president of the group is George Koenig, president of the Berry Metal Co., Harmony.The secretary of the group is Ronald Ashburn, executive director, Association for Iron & Steel Technology in Warrendale.The group announced its new executive committee and board during its annual conference May 5 to 8 in Indianapolis, Ind. Nearly 7,000 people attended the event.
