Junior Auxiliary program graduates 49 students
Butler Memorial Hospital has celebrated the graduation of its largest Junior Auxiliary class to date, with 49 students.
On Aug. 16, students gathered with their families and staff at Butler Memorial Hospital for a ceremony and luncheon to mark the completion of the program.
Students from school districts across Butler County and entering grades 10 through 12 this fall, participated in the 10-week program. Collectively, they collected more than 2,000 hours of shadowing and volunteering opportunities.
The Junior Auxiliary program offers students the opportunity to explore health care careers from clinical to administrative functions, further enhancing their understanding of all the career options in the health care sector.
This year, the program was further enhanced through a partnership with the Tri-County Workforce Investment Board.
