SAXONBURG — The Saxonburg Library, 240 W. Main St., will hold the annual fall used book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 12 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 13.

The sale will be held in the library's community room. All books are sold by donations.

CLAY TWP — The McAnallen family reunion will be held at 1 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Ken Gloria McAnallen Farm, 234 Mack Road. Take a covered dish and white elephant gift. Table service, meat, beverages and children's games will be provided. For information, call 724-287-8190.

The Reality Tour Drug Prevention is seeking more volunteers. The program needs young men 18 and older to portray a prison scene from 5:45 to 7 p.m. A youth group is also needed for various duties from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. The nonprofit CANDLE will furnish a letter of recommendation for youth volunteers. LANCASTER TWP — Zion Lutheran Church, 557 Perry Highway, will offer a clothing service from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 12.Clothing for all ages, bedding and household items will be available; pay what you can afford. WINFIELD TWP — St. Luke Lutheran Church, 330 Hannahstown Road, will hold an attic sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 11 and from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 12, which is bargain day. There also will be a bake sale and lunch available.

BUTLER TWP — A Pets for Vets poker run will be held Sept. 19. Registration is at 10 a.m. and the ride will leave at 11:30 a.m. from the Butler County Humane Society. The ride will go through Kittanning, Rimersburg, Foxburg and Slippery Rock. The final stop is in North Washington with a picnic and prizes.Proceeds benefit the BCHS and veterans organizations.
